ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR 12TH PCB STUDENTS
Applicants are required to have completed their 12th standard education, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects. A minimum aggregate of 150 out of 300 (50%) is required for the General category, while Reserved category candidates must have at least 120 out of 300 (40%).
Additionally, qualifying for the NEET exam is mandatory. For the General category, the required percentile is 50th, with a score range of 137 and above (NEET 2023). For Reserved categories, the required percentile is 40th, with a score of 107 and above (NEET 2023).

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION
To complete your admission process, you must submit the following essential documents:
- NEET UG Admit Card – A copy of the admit card issued for the NEET UG examination.
- Latest Online Application Form – A printout of the most recent application filled out on mahacet.org.
- NEET UG Scorecard – The official mark sheet indicating your NEET UG score.
- Proof of Nationality – A valid Nationality Certificate issued by the District/Additional/Metropolitan Magistrate, or a valid Indian Passport/School Leaving Certificate from HSC (12th) indicating Indian nationality.
- Domicile Certificate – Issued by the appropriate district authority, confirming your residential eligibility.
- HSC (Class 12) Mark Sheet – Mark sheet of the Higher Secondary Certificate or its equivalent examination.
- SSC (Class 10) Passing Certificate – Required as proof of your Date of Birth.
- Aadhaar Card – A valid copy of your Aadhaar card for identity verification.
- Medical Fitness Certificate (Annexure – H) – A duly signed medical certificate confirming your physical fitness for pursuing medical education.
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS (IF APPLICABLE)
Depending on your category or specific circumstances, you may also need to provide the following documents:
- Caste Certificate – Required for candidates applying under reserved categories.
- Caste Validity Certificate – To validate the authenticity of your caste claim.
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate – Valid up to 31/03/2021, applicable for VJ, NT1, NT2, NT3, OBC, and SBC category candidates.
- Ex-Servicemen Certificate – For D1/D2/D3 category, submit a certificate of actual service or ex-servicemen status.
- Domicile Certificate for Defence Personnel – Required under D1/D2 categories to prove the Maharashtra domicile status of the defence parent.
- Transfer Certificate – Mandatory under D3
- EWS Eligibility Certificate – Issued by a competent authority for students applying under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
- MKB Region Documents – For MKB (Disputed Area) quota, submit:
- Disputed Area Certificate
- Mother Tongue Certificate
- SSC/HSC mark sheets from MKB region schools
- Medical Fitness Certificate (PWD) – Issued by an authorized medical board, for candidates applying under the Persons with Disability (PWD)
- Minority Certificate – As per rules 5.11, 5.12, and 5.13, applicable to minority category students.
- Orphan Certificate – Issued by a relevant authority for candidates applying under the Orphan
Admission Process Overview
1. Central & State-level Counseling:
The MBBS admission process is conducted at the central level by MCC (Medical Counseling Committee under DGHS) and at the state level by DMER (Directorate of Medical Education and Research).
2. All India Quota (AIQ) & Deemed Universities:
- 15% of seats in government medical colleges across India are reserved under the All-India Quota,
- 100% of seats in deemed universities are filled through MCC counseling.
3. State Quota & Private Medical Colleges:
- 85% of seats in state government medical colleges,
- 100% of seats in private medical colleges within the state are allocated through the DMER (MHCET) counselling process.
